Animals Pedals Relaxing Walrus Delay
Delay Pedal
– BRAND NEW –
Description
RELAXING WALRUS DELAY is a standard and easy-to-use delay effect that is indispensable for adding greatness to guitar play. The simple control knobs for Blend, Time, and Repeat are necessary and sufficient, so you can make the necessary settings without hesitation. The delay time is as wide as 1 to 500ms, covering from doubling to short delay, medium and long delay.
The delay tone of RELAXING WALRUS DELAY is close to a vintage analog delay and at the same time has a clear digital delay. Tones finished with an exquisite balance can be set to a natural reverberation that blends the sound of the delay with the original sound by setting the Blend knob, or conversely stands out.
With self-oscillation just like an analog delay, it can cover a wide range of applications, from delays that are always ON to delays that serve as transcendence.
An effect pedal that comes in handy when there is one on the pedal board. Delay is also called the Yamabiko effect. It is an effect that repeats the played sound and mixes it with the original sound to create a spatial spread and reverberation. You might think of this type of effect as a reverb-like effect. In fact, you can use similar usage.
The decisive difference between the delay effect and the reverb effect is that the played sound is repeated as it is. This unique delay effect can be a great help to the next level, especially for guitarists.
Smooth Lead Tone With Depth
When moving from rhythm backing to lead, it is common to switch boosters and distortions to make the sound louder or to put it forward. However, when you mix and record a band performance and listen to it, you may feel loud even if you make the sound louder, and you may not hear the lead as well as you thought.
At this time, if you step on the delay effect at the same time, the lead tone adds depth and has a distinctly different presence from the back tone. At the same time, the edges of the sound are slightly rounded, making it easy to hear and making a smooth tone. At this time, the key to setting is to use a slightly longer delay time and less repeats.
Always On And Smooth Backing Play When
you listen to the guitar sound often during a professional player’s live performance, there is often a slight delay. For example, the delay effect is effective when playing a smooth backing without cutting the sound even with long chord changes.
This is because the effect is such that the sustain is complemented and the tail end of the timbre disappears slowly. Try reducing the blending and delay times and setting the repeat to a few times.
Rhythmic and tricky play The delay effect repeats the input sound over and over. You can use that effect to make tricky play or rhythmic backing.
If blend is set high, repeats are set conservatively, and the delay time is adjusted carefully, it is possible to create a dotted 8-minute delay and a harmony using the delay without using a multifunctional digital delay. I can do it.
Self-oscillation
Self-oscillation, or self-oscillation, is a phenomenon in which the sound coming out of the delay effect becomes louder and louder as a repeat is set higher, producing a unique sound like a screaming voice. At this time, by changing the delay time, you can change the pitch, tone, and rhythm of the oscillating sound, and by playing the guitar or combining other effects, you can create a chaotic world. I can do it. When you want to stop self-oscillation, lower the repeat knob to fade out the chaos sound naturally.
RELAXING WALRUS DELAY allows you to set the strength of oscillation using the internal trim pot. The default setting is to prevent oscillation.
The foot switch is true bypass. It is driven by a 9V battery or a standard center minus DC9V adapter. Designed by the surf art painter Jonas Cleasson, who works in Australia. It was designed with the image of a walrus where you can enjoy the afternoon after surfing with the best camping trailer you can dream of.
